About Ancient Ram Inn Open Days

Built on the original Bronze Age settlement of Wotton-under-Edge and situated on the side of a hill known as The Cloud, above which was a Pagan ritual site, now home to St Mary’s Church and positioned on the cross-section of Ley Lines, considered to be a motorway of spiritual activity.

The Ancient ram Inn retains much of its original character. Walk the many rooms bursting with history and climb the winding oak staircases. Marvel at the beams dating back to 1465 and the original flagstone floors, inglenook fireplaces and creaky old floorboards.

If you are lucky, you can witness paranormal groups conducting daytime paranormal investigations, maybe join in if you wish. Come join us for an intriguing visit to one of only a few existing ancient inns still in private ownership.

Ancient Ram Inn Open Days – What to expect during your adventure

Health and safety rules will be explained with a recommended protection ritual, combined with a Q&A session before you begin.
Caroline’s experienced guides will show you around this fabulous location.
You’ll be split into smaller groups to carry out your vigils in some of the world’s most famous haunted rooms.
You can experiment with ghost-hunting gadgets which will be fully explained by my friendly guides. You can use your own mobile apps, sing, dance, laugh, shout and play music. A vibrant energy during a hunt can often result in a more successful experience.
You can carry out loan vigils in any of my beautiful spaces. Just ask one of my hosts to accompany you and mention it to them when you arrive.
If you bring snacks and drinks, there will be a break halfway through, where you can discuss your evidence and compare notes with everyone else. The designated smoking area is situated away from the building.
Secure parking is available on site.
